Massage Philosophy:
"I custom design my massage sessions combining a range of modalities (Swedish, polarity therapy, stretching, neuromuscular, shiastu etc) to help the client attain his/her goals. Taking an intuitive approach, I do not start a massage session with an agenda. Instead I attempt to feel what my client has to offer and work with it. I encourage feedback and am capable of providing very deep massage or a more superficial work according to the client's comfort level and needs. I encourage suggestions and specific ideas and will work with the client to focus the massage so that it will be most meaningful to that individual. I will also shut up and just let my client be if that is what she wants. I am comfortable working with those clients who seek pure relaxation, those who seek specific therapeutic benefits, and those who wish to understand the creative, career, philosophical, political, and spiritual dimensions of massage. I often aim to integrate very detailed work with broader integrative stroke that unify the entire body. Education I believe is a key benefit of massage and I discuss the massage with clients and often recommend stretches and further work that may be beneficial. Since I read widely I may suggest books and articles of interest. I respect my client's privacy, seek to create comforting and comfortable physical and musical environment, and maintain high ethical standards."
